Dominican wins US$1 million from Lime

LIME customer Lucille Worrell from Dominica is the Caribbean's newest US dollar millionaire.

Worrell emerged as Landline, Internet, Mobile and Entertainment's (LIME) grand prize winner in Friday's final draw of the Caribbean Christmas promotion.

The ecstatic new millionaire qualified for the draw after paying her fixed-line bill in full and on time.

Speechless reaction

Although the news of the big prize left her almost speechless, Worrell managed to express her gratitude to LIME for the life-changing windfall.

"Oh gosh, I am overwhelmed, I am so happy, I am speechless," Worrell said after the news that she had won the LIME US million-dollar prize.

Worrell, who has a young son, said she plans on investing the money on his education, building her home and contributing to her Catholic church.

LIME CEO Richard Dodd congratulated Lucille on her big prize.

"I extend special congratulations to Lucille Worrell on becoming the LIME US dollar millionaire. I am sure that she is particularly gratified that she chose LIME as her telecoms provider. I also want to thank all the thousands of other LIME customers who made our Christmas promotion a great success."

Three hundred LIME customers from across the Caribbean won hundreds of attractive prizes in the company's Christmas promotion - including plasma TVs, computers, laptops, digital cameras, Black-Berrys, Ipaq phones and Sony Playstations.

To qualify for weekly prizes and, by extension, the US$1 million grand prize, customers only needed to sign up for a new service, upgrade an existing service, pay their November bill in full and on time, text 'Win' to LIME (5463) or top up $20 or more on their mobile phones.
