The body lotions can stand up against any other leading brands worldwide as far as quality and packaging go. They include: Rose Petal, Minty Breeze, Morning Dew and Lush Lavender.

The island's largest day spa and premier manufacturer of skin-care products and cosmetics, Jencare Skin Farm Limited, is once again spreading its wings. This time, it will open a branch in Pembroke Pines, Florida, in coming months and one at the Norman Manley International Airport by month end.

Jennifer Samuda, the creative genius behind the business, told Flair, "The times are hard but we can't play dead." She said the company is constantly thinking of new ideas for products that rival the best in the world.

The airport branch will offer quick spa services and products. "We will cater to the customer on the go who needs neck or foot massages, or to get a shave, trim or fresh hairstyle before boarding their flight," she said.

There is a new line of products, including Silent Partner, a skin moisturiser that feels like a velvet glove when applied. The fragrance is subtle yet pleasant and when applied all over the body, there is no need for perfume. The scent lasts for 24 hours.

All-natural products

Whisper Fresh collagen body lotion is made from all-natural products. The face powder, Stush, comes in the signature silver package and there is a new three-in-one lipstick that has two colours and a lipliner.

"We also have a new pimple detox to remove blemishes without irritating the skin and collagen in concentrated form to moist the eye area," Samuda said.

She has also added neck serum, firming collagen, retinol collagen with anti-ageing properties and Healing Heals, targeting persons with diabetes and who have dry calloused areas on the feet.
