CAFFE mobilises for by-election
The Citizens Action for Free and Fair Elections (CAFFE) will be observing the March 23 by- election in West Portland as well as nomination day proceedings this Friday.

In a release to the press yesterday, CAFFE called for volunteers in Portland and neighbouring communities who observed the 2007 general and local government elections to come forward for the upcoming by-election, but said it would also welcome new volunteers.

On election day, CAFFE will deploy volunteers to the different polling divisions within the constituency.

The release also said a team of specifically chosen volunteers would be roving the constituency to observe activities on both days.

According to the release, election campaigning in the constituency will also be under scrutiny.
