An uncalled-for by-election
The Editor, Sir:

Once again, Jamaican taxpayers will have to foot the bill for an uncalled-for by-election. This is due to the desperate attempts by the PNP to wrest leadership from the current government. This is an indication of how they prioritise their agenda for the next five years, and a demonstration of how much interest they have in the economic crisis that is crippling the country's economy.

Quite clearly, this is how leaders without the capacity to think behave - very erratically and irresponsibly.

Regarding this by-election, I do hope that the JLP candidate wins by a wider margin, which will prevent the PNP from further contesting by-elections of this nature.

Instead of cooperating with the government to solve this economic crisis, they are once again playing with minds of the Jamaican people.

I am, etc.,
