A team led by Transport and Works Minister Mike Henry is to undertake a major review of a number of operational procedures and policies within the public-transportation sector, particularly in relation to operations of the Transport Authority (TA) and the Jamaica Urban Transit Company.

Henry says the exercise will include close examination of a number of issues which led to demonstrations by and confron-tations between various groups of public-passenger vehicle operators and the TA recently.

He says the review is intended to revisit, clarify and more effectively communicate a number of transport policies, with a view to establishing more order among PPV operators.
