Party vibes
If the first of a series of road shows planned to mark the 250th anniversary of Guinness stout is anything to go by then look out Jamaica.

Held at Ken's Wildflower Sports Bar in Portmore, the road show was filled with drama and excitement as about 5000 patrons turned out to enjoy six-pack bucket deals of Guinness and music from some of Jamaica's top sound systems and selectors.

High energy

A bare-chested and barrel-bellied selector, Sky Juice, had the energy high from the outset playing hits like Beres Hammond's Feel Good and Romaine Virgo's Caan Sleep, that had the crowd rocking.

Firelinks was also in his element spinning some Biggie Smalls hits from the 1990s before launching into some of Tupac's classics including Broken Wings. It wasn't long however, before Rebel T's Mad Ras stomped onto the stage and around Firelinks and his console.

Excitement

His actions excited the crowd. The excitement built when Firelinks seemingly in response to Mad Ras' actions, unleashed Capleton's Fire Time which drew a big 'forward' from the Portmore crowd.

Rebel T and Mad Ras would eventually stamp their class opening their segment with an ode to Firelinks by way of Vybz Kartel Caan Tump Me In My Mouth which drove the crowd wild. Rebel T later played the timeless dancehall/hip-hop classic R Kelly's I Wish and Demarco's Fallen Soldiers which rounded out a nice segment.
