Redbones has been operating for 13 years, providing intimate dining, timeless ambience, a hip bar with live music in a laid-back, elegant atmosphere. The restaurant is set in a Spanish colonial-style house that offers two dining rooms, 'lunchtime airy' and 'night-time romantic', open terraces and a courtyard in an enchanting garden setting.
"Our clientele includes people from various backgrounds. We cater to locals, expatriates, business people and those just looking to relax," says Enola Williams, manager.
The Café
Apart from its relaxing music, the café offers its brand of 'Nouvelle Caribbean' cuisine. "This is an imaginative fusion of international and Caribbean flavours," Williams says. The restaurant's dress code states no shorts in the main dining rooms; however, all meals can be served in the courtyard or on the terraces should the customer be wearing shorts.
New clients
Williams says they hope the Gleaner-sponsored Restaurant Week will broaden the exposure of Redbones by introducing new clients to the restaurant. "Additionally, due to the fixed price menu which allows a customer to have a full three-course meal at a discounted price, we look forward to seeing many of our regulars," she says.
"Overall, Restaurant Week brings a certain culinary excitement to Kingston in which people across the board feel energised to dine out and enjoy the city."
