Something extra

The talk is still about last Friday's Osmosis Evolution held at The Stables, Caymanas Estate. We have some fab women in our lens.

The American Women's Group (AWG) hosted its annual dinner last Thursday in Cherry Gardens and Something Extra was on hand to catch the fun.

Office romance

1. We close out the year with news of the latest high-profile executive to be booted because of inappropriate office behaviour, and once again, it is the ever-trusty email which was used to confirm the closed-door happenings.

Poor service

2. The fact that the business has been sold is no excuse for the poor level of service being experienced by customers. Dissatisfaction has reached its peak and hardly a day passes without there being a loud confrontation in the front office. Some say the problem is on the technical side and they can't wait for the new owners to take charge.

Helper for a decade

3. The latest helper story to make the rounds is creating a good deal of anxiety uptown. The fact that the 'relationship' has been ongoing for nearly a decade is what has so many people stunned. Now the woman is demanding to be paid off or else? We are watching this one closely.

Personal banking?

4. It's that time of year when dozens of customers join snaking bank queues to transact business. The experience is made worse at one Kingston 6 institution. The loud rumblings of those standing in line when others saunter up to the counter to get most-favoured customer treatment, goes unnoticed. This gives new meaning to the phrase that banking is personal.

Help! Help!

5. Once again, whisperings about the effect of obeah are being heard above the din of dreaded announcements. There are suggestions of weekly consultations with the scientist.
