MY DOWN TIME WITH ... Destra Garcia

This bubbly Trinidadian soca artiste certainly knows the right techniques to get her audience in a frenzy. Just returning on the scene from a break after the recent Trinidad Carnival, Destra's first appearance since the break was right here in Jamaica at the last in the series of Bacchanal Friday. With hits such as Last lap, Saddle and most recent ones like Sassiness, Bacchanal and Hott, she brought the series to an end with a blazing performance.

What was the last book you read?

I am now reading book four in the series, Twilight. My sister and I are into that book, especially after seeing the movie. I am now at the part where the vampire gets married and will be having a baby (she said chuckling seemingly amused by thought of it).

What CD are you listening to right now?

The last CDs I bought were Beyoncé's album, Sasha Fierce, as well Pink's recent album. Right now in my player there is Maroon 5 and Natasha Bedingfield. I listen to all types of music.

Where was the last interesting place you visited?

Everywhere I go is really special to me. But I must say I love Jamaica. I look forward to always coming to Jamaica fully recharged from Trinidad Carnival. Very special to me, I love it and the vibes are always right in Jamaica.
